Project Description
Modular vehicle barriers to provide safe street closures for the number of events that occur throughout the year such as parades, farmers market and downtown events. The barriers limit vehicles from entering closures that have pedestrians present.
Project Justification
There has been an increase of attacks using vehicles on people during large public gatherings. These devices could be used during the numerous city events as an additional safety measure. Lastly, the barriers are lightweight (53 pounds) and mobile allowing personnel to open and close roadway’s in an extremely short period of time with minimal staff.
