Project Description

A Non-motorized Facilities Plan is a strategic document developed by cities, municipalities, or regions to promote and improve non-motorized forms of transportation, such as walking, cycling, and the use of micromobility (e.g., scooters, skateboards). These plans aim to create safer, more accessible, and more sustainable transportation networks. The City adopted a Non-Motorized Facilities Plan in 2015 which is in need of an update.

Project Justification

The 2021 Livable Petoskey Master Plan prioritizes the Built Environment - Neighborhoods for All and includes the following Strategies and Actions:

  • Periodically review and update the City's Non-motorized Facilities Plan
